Passion for quality, born of necessity
While anticipating our first litter of puppies, we learned the importance of having a well-designed and well-built whelping box. However online searches revealed few options. On one end of the spectrum, are boxes made from flimsy corrugated plastic (known to last only a few litters). On the other end, are extremely expensive and heavy plastic options that don't always stay together during routine use and cleaning. In short, most options lacked the quality, ease-of-use, and features we were seeking for an ideal, comfortable, and safe whelping experience. Being a mechanical engineer, I set out to design the ideal box for our own use. After several iterations through multiple litters and the challenges they presented, a design emerged that could meet ALL breeders needs; one that is beautiful, super-easy to assemble, disassemble and store. It provides security for momma, safety for puppies, and comfort for their owners.
